Alejandra Chaparro

DDS, MSc, PhD

Dr. Alejandra Chaparro is a specialist in periodontology with extensive clinical and academic experience in oral health, soft tissue management, and implantology. She holds a Doctorate in Biomedical Sciences and a Master’s degree in Periodontics. Currently a Full  Professor at Universidad de los Andes (Chile), Dr. Chaparro is dedicated to advancing clinical practice through research and education in periodontal and peri-implant tissues.

Her research focuses on the biological mechanisms of periodontal and peri-implant diseases, soft tissue regeneration, and the systemic links between oral and overall health. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and actively participates in international conferences, sharing insights on regenerative techniques, tissue preservation, and minimally invasive approaches.

Dr. Chaparro combines evidence-based practice with innovative clinical strategies, aiming to bridge the gap between science and patient-centered care. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of clinicians and fostering multidisciplinary collaborations.
